Empowering through Sharing Experiences: Exploring Aged Care Workers Perspectives

This interdisciplinary pilot study, seed funded by EIPS and RMIT University, features researchers from a raft of disciplines such as Business and Marketing, Global and Urban Social Studies, Public Relations, Psychology, and Media and Communications. We will undertake ethnographic research of aged care workers working throughout the pandemic, finding ways for them to safely speak about their experiences. Our aim is to give voice to, empower and celebrate their important work.

Research outcomes will include an article for The Conversation, a research report for RMIT University, as well as a series of monologues that anonymously dramatise the stories of the aged care workers. These will be performed to the workforce and management.
